Merge clips without installing an editor
Most "combine these videos" jobs don't need a timeline editor: phone clips from the same trip, screen-recording takes that should be one video, a batch of short clips for a montage. Drop up to ten clips, drag them into order, trim the dead seconds off each one, and join. If a clip's sound shouldn't be in the result, mute it or lower its volume; add a music track and it's mixed under the whole video.
Fast when your clips match
When clips share the same resolution, codec, and frame rate — typical for clips from the same phone or the same recording tool — they are joined by stream copy: no re-encoding, no quality loss, done in seconds. Mixed sources (different phones, portrait plus landscape) are re-encoded to a common format instead, which takes longer; the tool warns you before it starts so you can decide.

No. All processing happens locally in your browser using WebAssembly. Your clips never leave your device — you can even disconnect from the internet once the page has loaded.
Clips with the same resolution, codec, and frame rate (e.g. recorded on the same phone) are joined without re-encoding — that takes seconds. Clips with different formats have to be re-encoded to match, which is much slower in the browser. The tool tells you which case applies before you combine.
Yes — add any audio file as a background track. It plays from the start of the combined video, is cut at the video's end, and mixes with the clips' original audio (which you can mute or turn down per clip).
The combined input is limited to 700 MB, because everything is processed in your browser's memory. For most phone clips that's plenty; for bigger projects a desktop editor is the better tool.
