Matching clips are joined instantly without re-encoding; mixed formats are converted automatically.

Frequently asked questions

Is it really free?

Yes. The video combiner is completely free, with no signup, watermarks, or limits. We make money from our video translation service, not from this tool.

Do you upload my files?

No. All processing happens locally in your browser using WebAssembly. Your clips never leave your device — you can even disconnect from the internet once the page has loaded.

Why is joining sometimes instant and sometimes slow?

Clips with the same resolution, codec, and frame rate (e.g. recorded on the same phone) are joined without re-encoding — that takes seconds. Clips with different formats have to be re-encoded to match, which is much slower in the browser. The tool tells you which case applies before you combine.

Can I add music or narration?

Yes — add any audio file as a background track. It plays from the start of the combined video, is cut at the video's end, and mixes with the clips' original audio (which you can mute or turn down per clip).

Is there a size limit?

The combined input is limited to 700 MB, because everything is processed in your browser's memory. For most phone clips that's plenty; for bigger projects a desktop editor is the better tool.
