Drag and drop a video or audio file

or click to browse

Trim with draggable handles, optionally remove background noise, and export as video or audio.

How it works

1

Drop your file

Any common video or audio file — it stays on your device.

2

Select the clip

Drag the handles on the timeline to pick the part to keep. Optionally turn on noise removal.

3

Export video or audio

Download the trimmed clip as a video, or just its audio track as MP3, M4A, or WAV.

Cut without re-encoding

Trimming here is a stream copy: the selected range is cut out of the file without touching the compressed video data, so a two-minute cut from an hour-long recording takes seconds and loses zero quality. The trade-off is that cuts snap to keyframes — a fancy way of saying the start point may shift by a second or so. For lecture recordings, meeting highlights, and sports moments, that's the right trade.

Trim, clean, and export audio in one pass

Two extras save a second trip through other tools: background-noise removal (the same neural filter as our noise remover) can be applied to the cut, and the result can be exported as MP3, M4A, or WAV instead of video — handy when the clip you're cutting is really about the sound, like one answer from an interview or one song from a concert video.

Frequently asked questions

Is it really free?

Yes. The trimmer is completely free, with no signup, watermarks, or limits. We make money from our video translation service, not from this tool.

Do you upload my files?

No. All processing happens locally in your browser using WebAssembly. Your file never leaves your device — you can even disconnect from the internet once the page has loaded.

Why is trimming so fast?

The video is cut without re-encoding (stream copy), so even long videos take seconds. The trade-off: without noise removal, cuts snap to the nearest keyframe, which can shift the start point by a fraction of a second.

Can I clean up the audio at the same time?

Yes — turn on noise removal and the audio is run through RNNoise, a neural network that removes hums, fans, keyboards, and street noise, while the video track stays untouched.
